LHCF Grant Request Guidelines

LHCF Board of Directors redirected its grant award criteria, selecting to support only organizations whose mission was in service to the community’s children and youth. One hundred percent of Sponsor funds of the Wentworth Marina Striped Bass Tournament are annually channeled directly to the designated beneficiary organization. Beneficiaries are selected having identified a program or project that will make a discernable difference in the life of the children they service. To apply for a LHCF grant please consider the following criteria:

Concise narrative on the proposed program.
Budget outline for the proposal or program, including what part of the budget the grant request will be used for.
Brief description must accompany the proposal that answers the following question: “How will your agency measure the success of the program or project?”
Two (most current) years of audited operating budgets must accompany the proposal.
List of the current Board Members, number of staff, region of service, number of children or youth impacted by the work/mission of the agency.
Evidence of Tax Identification Number of nonprofit status.
Name of 2 adults affiliated with your organization who will volunteer to work on activities affiliated with the successful implementation of the Striped Bass Tournament.
Proposal/Project Completion Date.
Update and Evaluation of the project is due one-year after completion.

Note: Grants for general operating support, fixed budget items, including staff time or salaries will not be considered. We are interested in “ideas” that make a difference in the lives of children. We want to support and encourage your innovative thinking and strategic planning so that all the possibilities will be explored and the children and youth of our region will benefit from our efforts.
