LHCF Launches New Website
New Castle, NH April 23, 2010– Little Harbor Charitable Foundation (LHCF) celebrated the announcement of the 2010 beneficiary awards with the launch of a new website www.LHCFonline.com along with the redesign of an improved www.stripertournament.com.
Best known for their annual fundraising event, the Wentworth Marina Striped Bass Tournament, the new user friendly LHCF site provides easy on-line registration for this event, or immediate access to the angler application as a PDF file.
The site spotlights the Foundation’s 2010 beneficiary organization Cross Roads House (Portsmouth, NH) along with the retrofit of the exhibit Shipwreck! Lizzi Car at the Seacoast Science Center (Rye, NH). The new site also highlights some of the 56 diversified projects of the past 13 years of grant awards.
According to Paul Holloway, LHFC chair, “We’ve done an excellent job of collaborating with sponsors and child service providers to fund top quality programs and projects for the benefit of seacoast children. Now with the new website we’ve made it easier for everyone to find out about these great projects, register for the annual Striped Bass Tournament and see the many local corporations and businesses that support LHCF and these great undertakings.”
Organized and managed by the LHCF Board in 1997, the popular Striped Bass Tournament consistently outperformed itself year over year to raise and distribute $1.3 million to area programs benefitting children and youth in the New Hampshire Seacoast. In 2008 the Tournament switched format to become a “kids only” fishing event.
Anna Grace Holloway, Tournament Chair, in describing the selection of the primary 3rd annual Wentworth Marina Striped Bass Tournament for Kids beneficiary stated that proceeds will address the needs of resident children by providing funding for safe, appropriate childcare services as well as to address training opportunities for the parent in order to move the family more quickly toward independent, sustainable living.
