Wounded Warrior project at Northeast Passage works one-to-one with young NH veterans returning from the current war by helping to remove the barriers preventing them from accessing their life and community.  Through this program, Northeast Passage offers wellness education, fitness plans, functional skill development, community integration, resilience techniques, resource and network development, individual and family recreation and peer advising. This is unique program in the field of Therapeutic Recreation.

Safe Kids, Strong Teens is an educational initiative at Sexual Assault Support Services. The mission is two-fold, supporting victims of violence and preventing future violence. They work with children K-12 to prevent child sexual abuse, sexual harassment, bullying and teen dating violence.  The program includes information and referral services, a confidential 24-hour crisis hotline, 24-hour accompaniment and support at police stations, hospital emergency rooms, courts and local Child Advocacy Centers.

Summer Learning Lab is a program developed through the Portsmouth School District to target elementary children whose assessment for reading and math scored in the bottom 20% of their class and their teachers.  Children and teachers attend a specialized program during the summer involving cost-effective, practical interventions to improve the overall performance of these children and how they are taught.  The goal is to ensure that under-performing children find more meaningful ways to learn, and teachers are able to identify and adjust to students requiring one-to-one instruction.
